Orintex System Uses Barcodes

Monitor-Pro is the software developed by Orintex of Italy to allow the control and monitoring of production processes, in real time. It enables a precise management overview of the production equipment and resources by sending information on all phases of the production process as it occurs. This includes machine capacity; duration of each process; delay information compared to standard procedure; operator details; downtime for maintenance or temporary stoppages - all steps in the process of calculating true production costs.

A barcode reading system relays information to the central information point from the operator and machine thus allowing the status of all production processes to be followed through each working phase.

Quality control can be monitored and managed via Monitor-Pro. Invoicing can also be carried out using data from the system. The system can also be used to keep customers informed about the progress of their job via the Internet.

Bonfiglioli active' Inverters

Italian company Bonfiglioli (maker of drive equipment for the transport and industrial automation industries) acquired the German manufacturer of inverters, Vectron Elektronik, two years ago. The acquisition has led the company to develop products for 'mechatronic' solutions to customers' automation requirements.

It has recently brought to market a new inverter range called 'Active', which it says provides robust control function; is suitable for use in very hot environments; and has speed control with a resolution of 1 millionth of a Hz.
