It enables a precise management overview of the production equipment and resources by sending information on all phases of the production process as it occurs. This includes machine capacity; duration of each process; delay information compared to standard procedure; operator details; downtime for maintenance or temporary stoppages - all steps in the process of calculating true production costs. A barcode reading system relays information to the central information point from the operator and machine thus allowing the status of all production processes to be followed through each working phase. Quality control can be monitored and managed via Monitor-Pro. Invoicing can also be carried out using data from the system. The system can also be used to keep customers informed about the progress of their job via the Internet. Bonfiglioli active' Inverters Italian company Bonfiglioli (maker of drive equipment for the transport and industrial automation industries) acquired the German manufacturer of inverters, Vectron Elektronik, two years ago. The acquisition has led the company to develop products for 'mechatronic' solutions to customers' automation requirements.
