| eWarna unveils Color Indexer International Dyer, May 2005 eWama has released Color Indexer, the latest add-on module to its award winning online colour management system LabWorks Pro. Color Indexer enables colour standard providers to provide large-scale, automated colour cross-referencing services to their customers. Standards companies and companies who sell products from standard shade range can increase the adoption of their standards by automating the process to 'index, pick, swatch and go' at a fraction of the time, saving thousands of dollars of labour cost. This new add-on is also designed to help users to significantly reduce human errors and improve productivity when cross-referencing any colour standards. "It takes an operator at least one minute to locate a best match for a colour from a database of 4,000 colours and transcribe that result on a spreadsheet. This translates to up to 20 working days for three fulltime personnel working round the clock on three shifts to cross reference 2,000 colours against 4,000 searchable colours under 10 different illuminants," said Faizal Hussein, director of Product Development at eWarna. "Color Indexer offers a better solution. The entire exercise can be automated and completed in a few hours, freeing staff to perform higher value tasks." Color Indexer combines Internet-based colour management functionalities with industry-standard colour systems in the market. Built on eWarna's patent pending Online Color exchange (OCX) technology, it includes a highly optimised colorimetric - searching algorithm. Users may input any colour sets as targets and search for the best match from a selected database under chosen illuminants, observers and algorithms. Color Indexer also delivers: - Instant colour searches and comparison under a choice of matching conditions
- Intuitive user interface to set up complex cross reference criteria
- Flexibility to re-index when new colours are added or changed
- Customisable cross-reference tables and report formats
