eWarna in marketing pact with German Company

Online colour collaboration solutions provider eWarna said it has entered a marketing partnership with Aachen, Germany-based Color AIXperts ( www.color-aixperts.de ), which specialises in multi-spectral imaging. 

The two companies now offer customers the ability to combine Color AIXperts' digital sample technology equipment (SpAIXscan) and viewing software ( SpAIXview ) with eWarna's LabWorks Pro solution, eWarna said in a statement. 

Together, these systems deliver true collaboration in colour-communications processes, lower development costs and improve merchandise quality, the companies claimed. 

eWarna's ( www.ewarna.com ) Online Color eXchange (OCX) technology allows industries such as textiles, apparel, dyestuffs, paints, inks and plastics to communicate colour and colour information across supply chains using precise reflectance data. 

Using multi-spectral imaging and measurement methodology, digital sample technology generates a spectral reflectance curve for every pixel of an image, which allows precise remote comparison of multipart or multicoloured items. 

By recalculating each pixel colour under different lights, the true effects of texture and shape on colour perception can also be shown, eWarna said. 

Rather than simulating a texture or pattern on a greyscale image using a few spectral curves, digital sample technology goes beyond the traditional approach and directly measures the texture or pattern's effects on colour presentation, pixel by pixel.
